3 Themes
of the Season
  Fear of Death
As nature sheds its leaves, we’re reminded: nothing lasts forever. Yet for 70–90% of people, the fear of death, especially losing loved ones, quietly shapes their lives. It often hides beneath anxiety, resistance to change, or unexplained dread. At its core, this fear fuels depression, panic, and emotional stagnation.
But here’s the powerful truth: When we experience ourselves beyond the body, that fear begins to dissolve. Out-of-body experiences (OBEs) have been shown to reduce death anxiety and increase inner peace, creating a ripple effect that eases other fears.

Connecting with Ancestors
Across cultures, this season invites us to honour those who came before, to heal grief, find closure, and recognise how they live on through us. You don’t need to believe in ghosts to feel the benefits. Science backs it: epigenetics shows our experiences can shape gene expression, soothing the stress response, healing inherited trauma, and awakening the gifts passed down through our lineage.
If your ancestors lived through war, displacement, famine, or loss, those stories may live in your nervous system. By remembering and healing them, we reclaim our path and choose the legacy we’ll leave when we, too, become ancestors.

Heightened Consciousness
The Gloaming, that twilight hour when day melts into night, is a liminal space where reality softens. It’s when people often feel more intuitive, connected, or even encounter the supernatural. Just as dusk blurs light and dark, the psyche blurs the line between the seen and unseen. Psychologists call this having “thin boundaries”,  when the veil between waking and dreaming, self and soul, becomes more porous.
This season is our collective gloaming, a natural threshold where altered states come more easily. That’s why now is the perfect time to start or deepen practices like astral exploration.

MEET YOUR GUIDE...
After 5 years living in a Buddhist temple, Jade had an Out-of-Body Experience (OBE) that shattered her limitations, and redefined her life. She left a top career in the arts to dedicate herself to this phenomena, earning an MSc in Transpersonal Psychology, and publishing research in the Journal of Psychology of Consciousness: Research, Theory and Practise, later featured in Forbes.

Her documentary Insight Out (Amazon Prime), regular appearance on Gaia TV, and consultation on Netflix’s hit series Behind Her Eyes, helped raise awareness of this unique state. Now an industry authority, trusted expert for Mindvalley, and teacher at the Monroe Institute (where the CIA studied ‘astral projection’), Jade has taught over 50,000 students across 42+ countries.

Her signature ‘S.T.A.T.E. Induction Method’ is taught at her school Beyond, and being utilised in the world’s first long-term academic study on OBEs, in partnership with the Institute of Noetic Sciences. The rare combination of peer-reviewed science and 20+ years of ethnographic enquiry positions Jade as the world’s only OBE guide grounded in research, cultural practice, and direct-experience.
